Formerly known as Honey Oud
The old city climbs. Stone towers rise eight stories into thin mountain air, each window framed in white gypsum like scripture illuminated by hand. In Sana’a the beekeepers still scale the high cliffs at dawn, returning with wild honey so dark it tastes of the rock itself. You catch it on your wrist ?? that first golden thread ?? and beneath it the oud unfolds like a prayer rug on warm stone, resinous and unhurried. The honey thickens as the hours pass. The city has been trading in sweetness and smoke for three thousand years. This is what remains when the merchants go home and the braziers cool to amber.
The honey arrives immediately – thick, golden, almost edible – before the oud pulls it downward into something darker and more complex. On warm skin the cinnamon and leather emerge like spice market undertones, and the dry-down leaves a trail of vanilla-laced amber that lasts well into the next day.
